Watch No Fluxo, A Documentary About São Paulo’s Street Parties and Funk Scene
11 December, 2014No Fluxo is a brand new documentary looking at the fluxo parties that are regular events on the streets of São Paulo. These parties have a parallel with Rio de Janeiro’s baile funk events, open-air parties that welcome the local communities and offer a place for young musicians and dancers to make their mark.
The film shows the significance of these fluxo parties to local people and how the funk scene has developed in São Paulo, moving from its focus on funk ostentação to new styles like passinho do romano, and also highlights upcoming producers and deejays including MC Bin Laden and MC Brinquedo.
