El Freaky In The Russian House Live Tropical Bass Mix

If you want to know what’s happening with “urban dance music” (for want of a better phrase) in Colombia at the moment then you really need to look no further than El Freaky. The Bogotá-based collective are responsible for some of the finest tropical bass parties happening in the capital, and they’re going from strength to strength at the moment. They recently supported Carlos Vives in Colombia and abroad, and even went on their own US tour late last year. All this after dropping the hugely-popular Sabroso album last year.

El Freaky, previously known as the Freaky Friday Group, are an audiovisual group with four members, Andrés Shaq, Kmmy Ranks, Mike Styles and Fat Sugar Man. In March they headed to SXSW where they dropped this killer set of tropical bass rhythms, including moombahton, kuduro, soca, funk carioca and trap, alongside the Colombian sounds of cumbia and champeta.
