Colombia’s Animales Blancos Drop New Track ‘El Aguijón’

By 08 April, 2015

Colombia’s Animales Blancos have been on our radar for some time, winning the prestigious prize of 19th Best Album of 2013 according to that year’s S&C poll. Andrés Gualdrón’s psychedelic-folk-cumbia project now returns with new track ‘El Aguijón’, an appropriately sunny track with spring finally at the door. Gentle melodic flows, laced with elegantly playful vocals, build into a swirling concoction of upbeat acoustic tropicalia, something akin to as if the Beach Boys had settled in Cartagena rather than California. Without a doubt, there are some good park-going vibes here.
