Colombia’s Isa GT reaches final of Global Diesel Cup
15 December, 2010DJ and Artist Isa Gt (Medellin, Colombia) has advanced to the Final in Diesel’s international music project Stupid for Music Cup. In the cup, fans compete against each other by performing funny challenges, inspired by the fashion brand’s award winning advertising campaign ‘Be Stupid’. Starting with 64 artists from around the world, it has received 400,000+ comments and 100,000+ unique visitors.
Representing her native Colombia and residential UK, Isa GT has ‘defeated’ artists from Japan, USA, Canada and Greece. In the final match fans are asked to perform her ‘Las Mamasitas’ track on karaoke before December 20th. The winning artist will receive sponsorships for studio recording, global media campaigns and tour support, while her fans will walk away with camera equipment, acting lessons, among other things.
Isa GT released her debut EP ‘Pa’ Chikirri’ earlier this year on the well respected German label MAN Recordings, and has during the fall released a series of remixes for Fader Magazine, Fania Records and Tom Tom Club.
As a DJ, Isa GT has played alongside Diplo, Crookers, Fake Blood and many others, as well as the release parties for M.I.A. and Santigold in her hometown London.
In the last year her popular i Cumbia, Baile and House clubs have toured around Europe and USA.
