Handiclap Records Release R-Rivera’s ‘Rey de los Embusteros’ EP

By 12 January, 2017

Paul Rivera, aka R-Rivera, is a young MC from La Riviera Nayarit of the town Las Varas in Mexico, a paradisaical area that hosts surfers, hippies, foreigners and tourists, with incredible beaches full of fiestas, excesses and freedom. It’s from this location that he gives birth to his latest project, the Rey de los Embusteros EP, which in its lyrics and rhythms reflects his whole lifestyle.

This EP is his first professional release, with production carried out by the founder of Handiclap Records, Bial Hclap, who is based in Guadalajara, where the whole process was carried out. From the beginning they remained safe and wanted to give it a 360 ° turn by introducing a new way of doing ‘trap’ in Mexico. The EP has the collaboration of IO Musik, a reggae singer, and urban fusions also from the city of Guadalajara.

With an open mind they decided to let their creativity do their thing, mixing Latin rhythms, R’n’B and bass music with unrestricted flows. The tracks sound unlike anything you’ve heard before, songs that will make you dance and shout with a sound that makes us proud to be Latin. R. Rivera and Bial Hclap fuse the current musical currents with their roots, enjoying another way to see life and feel the music.

The EP’s producers are from different regions of Mexico and are very active in the global bass scene, along with names like Yelram Selectah, Freebot and Fake Mustache, who each made a remix for the EP, putting their own touch on the EP’s different tracks, giving a unique twist to the originals.
