Meridian Brothers 7″ Released on NYC Trust

By 13 June, 2012

Following on from releasing two incredible release from Colombia’s Frente Cumbiero, New York City’s NYC Trust record label have just released a great new 7″ from Meridian Brothers, the project of Frente guitarist Eblis Alvarez in which he gets to explore his songwriting and production ideas. It is truly one of most inventive and singular groups you will hear from Colombia or anywhere, as you can hear on this 7″, and well worth discovering.

Names You Can Trust presents the debut vinyl release from Bogota’s Meridian Brothers. Lead by Frente Cumbiero’s guitarist and engineer, Eblis Alvarez, the Meridian Brothers have been making waves on the Colombian music scene for quite some time. Their truly unique and experimental blend of Latin rhythms and Psychedelic grooves straddle the line between old and new. This 7-inch pressing presents 2 never before heard mixes from the Meridian Brothers IV album, a great introduction to those new to the group’s vast catalog and a secret weapon for your 45 box as well.

You can listen to the tracks below and buy the 7″ via the NYC Trust Store, Juno or iTunes
