New Mixtape and Free Download from El Remolón

Boxeo Constitución is a new documentary from Austrian director Jakob Weingartner, a snapshot of life inside a boxing gum in the basement of Buenos Aires’s historic Constitución train station. Weingartner asked local musician El Remolón – well known to S&C readers as part of the ZZK Records roster – to soundtrack the film. The resulting soundtrack is an experimental, rhythmic soundscape that contains all the hallmarks of Buenos Aires’ digital cumbia scene but then takes it to somewhere else entirely.

ZZK Records proudly present El Remolón’s soundtrack to Boxeo Constitución a documentary exploring the harsh realities of boxing in Argentina. Both poetic and powerful, intellectual and fun, Boxeo Constitución is a conceptual soundtrack conceived by one of Buenos Aires most exciting underground producers. Recorded with musicians from around the city, the album features members of El Remolón‘s newly debuted “Conjunto” band.

We are also very excited by this new mixtape that El Remolón has put together to promote the soundtrack.
