Vincent Moon and Lulacruza ready Esperando El Tsunami for it’s premiere (in your home perhaps!)

By 20 November, 2011

From March until June last year we documented Lulacruza’s journey across Colombia with film-maker Vincent Moon. The idea behind their journey was to discover Colombia, and especially the music of Colombia, documenting that experience in the form of a new album and a film. Well, the second part of that ambition is almost upon us, as Esperando el Tsunami – the film of their journey will be released on November 25th.

As with many of Vincent Moon’s projects, the emphasis is on a “free” culture. The project was originally funded thanks to a Kickstarter campaign, and it’s distribution will be no less novel. The film’s makers are inviting anyone to host a screening of Esperando el Tsunami. All they ask is that the screening will be free and that at least five people will be in attendance. If you can fit those requirements, they will happily send you a copy of the film to screen. These screenings will being on November 25th. If you want to get involved see http://esperando.cc/esperando/screenings/host-a-screening-description/ for details.

Sounds and Colours ourselves will indeed be holding a screening (or two). If you want more information on these screenings please send us an email to [email protected].
