Blissful electronica from Chile’s Moreno and Lata aka Mo(L)r(a)en(ta)o

By 25 January, 2011

Mo(L)r(a)en(ta)o is an album of remixes of Chilean indie singer/songwriter Moreno, produced by fellow Chilean electronica/dub music producer Lata. It’s a combination that has worked incredibly well, as from the opening notes of “Happy Endings” to the final track “Polaroids” Mo(L)r(a)en(ta)o is a delightful mix of acoustic hum, electronic sparkle and invention.

Moreno (Giancarlo Landini) has released three albums independently in his homeland of Chile, as well as collaborating on a number of projects and being involved in Chile’s surf culture. Lata (Andrew Collyer) has previously released two independent albums in Chile and remixed tracks by top Chilean acts such as Bitman & Roban, Makaroni, The Plug Plix and DJ Elástico.
