EBS Diggin’s New Sampler of Brazilian Music

By 18 June, 2012

We recently got sent this very interesting new sampler from EBS Diggin’ featuring new music from Brazil, including a few artists we had never heard of. Unsurprisingly the reason we initially decided to listen to the sampler was the sight of Kiko Dinucci’s name on there, and the Sao Paulo guitarist doesn’t disappoint (even if his song is possibly the oldest one on here – it came out four years ago!) The other tracks all fit within the languages of jazz and funk, but are also extremely playful, unafraid to experiment and try unique fusions. The sampler is called Brazuca Vol. 3 and while it may not be definitive in any sense of the word, it does offer up a few treats.
