Lo-fi pop from Peru’s Chico Unicornio

By 24 April, 2011

A couple of tracks from Lima’s Chico Unicornio recently found their way to the Internet. These two songs both sit firmly within the world of lo-fi pop, featuring either the charango or acoustic guitar as the main instrument, alongside whistling, background noises, rough percussion and odd snatches of other instruments. “Luxor” also has a little of the El Guincho about it, thanks to its percussive drive.
