Cal Jader, the main man behind London’s Latin music promoters Movimientos, has just put together this amazing mix of cumbia and we wanted to share it with you. The mix features both old and new styles of cumbia, with artists coming from all over the world. There is the tropical revivalism of Colombia’s Ondatropica, the new Mexican electro-cumbia of Mexican Institute of Sound, new variations on Peruvian cumbia from Los Chinches and Chicha Libre, experimental electro from Cero39, salsa from Sergent Garcia and so much more.

Jader will be DJing at a special Arriba La Cumbia event on November 9th (full details here) where cumbia really will be the word with live Latin music, DJs and lots of other special tropical treats. While warming up for that event why not get in the mood with this sizzling mix…
