Haunted Childhood: A Latin Gothic Playlist

By 26 February, 2014

On Saturday March 1st 2014 Sounds and Colours will be taking part in a night of films, music and haunted happenings in a church in East London, with the main aim of freaking people the hell out!

Our contribution to the evening – which is called hauntedchildhood.com and will include Latin horror films, live organ and ethereal occurrences – will be to play some of our most disturbing Latin gothic songs in between the films. Listen below for some of the songs which will be played on the evening. It’s not too surprising that Meridian Brothers’ skewed tropical rhythms, Dengue Dengue Dengue’s hallucinatory electro-cumbia and the Mexican chill wave of ruidoson artists Los Macuanos and Maria y José, will be some of those featured.
