PREMIÈRE: De’Anza “Vueltas” [VIDEO]

By 17 August, 2015

De’Anza is a new singer/songwriter talent, representing the young generation of Latinos and Latinas emanating from the US whose music reflects a broad “The Americas” sound. Based in Los Angeles after moving from Santa Fe, New Mexico, De’Anza’s music takes great influence from Mexico (as can be heard in the vihuela that adorns many of her songs).

On August 18th De’Anza will release her debut, a six-track EP called Despertar. “Vueltas” is one of the tracks from the EP and one that now has a gorgeous video to showcase it. Here’s De’Anza to tell us a little bit about the video:

“Vueltas” was directed, filmed and conceptualized by an incredible Ecuadorean artist named Jorge Espinosa M. I’ve worked with him extensively as he was also the creative art director on the album’s photography and artwork. He’s incredible at understanding the different layers to my songwriting and interpreting it visually. For this video we filmed objects that were in my apartment that had interesting textures and shapes. Perception is everything. The combination of where you eyes or where the camera lens focuses will shape your experience.”
