Best Reissues of 2018

By 21 December, 2018

As well as the new sounds of Latin America, 2018 has also been a fine year for the reissuing of older material with this selection of 12 newly-refurbished classics a great place for searching out some of Latin America’s most iconic artists and forgotten sounds. From Maria Rita’s avant-garde electronics to El Polen’s ahead-of-its-time Andean rock, not to mention the usual assortment of cumbia, bossa nova, and Cuban and Brazilian jazz reprints, it’s been a fine year for those wanting to hear the classics on glorious freshly-pressed vinyl. These were all chosen by the Sounds and Colours writers. Russ
