Colectivo Futuro’s ‘Música Infinita Venezuela’ Mixtape

By 03 August, 2017

In advance of their Musica Infinita: New Venezuelan Music night in London, Miguel Colmenares of Colectivo Futuro has put together this rather excellent mixtape of Venezuelan music that has been an inspiration for the collective and the bands, Telajeta and Insólito Universo, that are playing that night on August 23rd.

Featuring tracks by visionary Venezuelan composers like Daniel Grau and Chelique Sarabia, varied groups that go from the rock of Grupo Bota, through the disco and funk of Orchestra Julian and on to the more tropical flavours of Frank Quintero y los Balzehaguaos, as well as the more contemporary sounds of Los Amigos Invisibles and Family Atlantica. This is a journey through some of the most innovative and creative sounds made in Venezuela over the past 50 years.

Musica Infinita: New Venezuelan Music featuring Telajeta and Insólito Universo is at the Jazz Cafe, London, on August 23rd.
