Richard Marx to Return to the City Center Rosario in October

By | 14 June, 2019

Richard Marx is one of the most iconic singers of all time and is responsible for some of the best-known tracks ever recorded. The longstanding singer-songwriter has sold over 30 million records during his long, glittering career and had most of his success during the 1980s and 1990s. Unlike a lot of the acts from that era who disappeared and fell completely off the radar, Marx has continued to remain in the public eye.

The American has persistently released new music over the decades and performs live on a regular basis. Now, fans are getting excited about the Right Here Waiting singer’s return to the sprawling City Center Rosario in Argentina.

A Full Night of Hits

Marx is the only male artist ever to have his first seven singles hit the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. These included Don’t Mean Nothing, Endless Summer Nights, and Hold on to the Nights. The Chicago-born singer gained worldwide fame in international markets and is particularly popular in South America. For this reason, Marx has played numerous concerts and tours in Latin America over the years.

Marx has appeared at the City Center Rosario before, and his last show there came in May 2018. The performance was a huge success, which is why the 55-year-old singer has been booked in for another gig on the 2nd October this year. The concert is being billed as A Full Night of Hits and will feature all of the biggest tracks from Marx’s eleven studio albums. He is sure to play a majority of songs from his early albums, including Richard Marx, which went triple platinum in the US, and Repeat Offender, which was a quadruple platinum record. Fans are likely to feel a lot of nostalgia when they hear the 1987 and 1989 albums played live.

A Stunning Venue

The City Center Rosario in Argentina is an incredible place to watch any concert, let alone one of this magnitude. It is the largest entertainment complex in Latin America and features the concert hall, restaurants, shops, a hotel, and a sprawling casino. Revellers will be attracted by the prospect of seeing Marx, and will likely end up staying longer to soak in all the other things that the centre has to offer. The Pullman hotel is one of the most impressive aspects of this complex. It has everything tourists could wish for, including a gym, sauna, indoor and outdoor pools, and various sports courts. There are only 188 rooms, though, so anyone considering staying there should look into booking well in advance.

In terms of post-show entertainment, the huge casino is sure to attract a large number of visitors when Marx is in town. The gigantic gambling zone boasts 3000 slot machines and 50 table games and could rival some of the biggest casinos in the world. The fact that there are so many games on offer reflects the rise of online casinos, which also pride themselves on having many games. For instance, Betway Casino has over 400 online slots including Mega Moolah and Thunderstruck 2 from Microgaming, providing the level of variety that players have come to expect. Before the concert, the restaurants will be packed. There are numerous gastronomic options in the complex, with Piu Express and City Rock being two of the most popular eateries. Concert attendees are certain to find something that takes their fancy.

A Glittering Career Showing no Signs of Slowing

Marx has to go down in history as one of the world’s greatest entertainers. Despite most of his success occurring nearly thirty years ago, the singer is still going strong to this day.

As well as writing and performing his own music, the 1980s icon writes music for other acts. Some of the most notable songs to have Marx as a writer or co-writer have included This I Promise You by NSYNC and Dance With My Father by Luther Vandross. More recently, Marx co-wrote the Keith Urban track Long Hot Summer, which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 2011.

Marx has also taken part in many concerts and work for charities. In 2008, he headlined a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis research. He also gained attention when he helped Korean flight attendants subdue an unruly passenger in 2016.

If one thing is for certain, it’s that Marx’s glittering career is showing no signs of slowing. The world-famous singer is going to continue to write and perform and wow audiences along the way. Watching him now while he is still in his prime is a wise idea for any fans of the musician.
