Eagles extend their Sphere residency in Las Vegas through April 2026

By 26 February, 2026

The Eagles added two more shows at Sphere in Las Vegas, pushing the residency’s finale to April 2026. There are now 10 shows left in the run.

The extension adds to an already ambitious project set to total 58 shows. Sphere is turning these residencies into a genre of their own, focused not only on music but on high-tech visual storytelling.

The schedule update looks minor on paper, but it noticeably shifts the run’s closing emphasis, moving the final dates from March to April.

Extension despite Don Henley’s earlier comments

The decision looks unexpected against the backdrop of Don Henley’s recent statement. In an interview on CBS Morning News, he said that March would be the residency’s finale, and now the official schedule extends beyond that.

No public explanation has been given yet as to why the plans changed. In such cases, several factors are usually discussed at once—steady demand, the logistics of a packed schedule, and the venue’s own capabilities—but no confirmed explanation from the organizers or the musicians had been offered at the time of the announcement.

All remaining Eagles shows at Sphere

Below is a single definitive list of the remaining performances. Start time is listed in Las Vegas local time and is the same for all dates: 8:30 PM:

  • Friday, March 20, 2026, 8:30 PM
  • Saturday, March 21, 2026, 8:30 PM
  • Friday, March 27, 2026, 8:30 PM
  • Saturday, March 28, 2026, 8:30 PM
  • Friday, April 10, 2026, 8:30 PM
  • Saturday, April 11, 2026, 8:30 PM

These six dates make up the residency’s final stretch, which was previously seen as a March finale. Now the role of the final stop shifts to the April weekend.

What to expect at the show—and why Sphere is changing the traditional concert experience

According to Setlist.fm, Eagles usually perform about 20 songs per night. The program is built as a showcase of hits and, in parallel, as a survey of members’ solo work and songwriting threads.

A typical set draws from multiple layers of their catalog, including:

  • Eagles hits, “One of These Nights”, “Desperado”, “Heartache Tonight”
  • songs from Joe Walsh’s catalog, “Rocky Mountain Way”, “Life’s Been Good”, “In the City”
  • Don Henley solo numbers, “The End of the Innocence”, “The Boys of Summer”

Billboard, in its review of the opening night, noted the fully immersive effect delivered by the wraparound Sphere screen, turning the show into a synchronized audio-visual narrative. A concept like this has been able to make this place one of the country’s most popular concert venues. And this is drawing more and more music lovers to the city not only from the U.S., but from around the world.

Sphere has already become one of Las Vegas’s landmarks. And the city itself is starting to resemble Dubai more and more. This could have a positive impact on the number of tourists and help the city recover from the pandemic-related crisis.

It’s worth noting that it was during this period that iGaming’s popularity grew most actively. People stopped visiting land-based casinos and started playing online. In addition, according to experts, it was during this period that no deposit bonus online casino appeared, which further increased iGaming’s popularity. All of this led to a decline in the number of visitors to land-based casinos. And the drop in tourists in Las Vegas and Macau was a consequence of this.

In such a situation, the city needs to diversify its entertainment offerings as much as possible in order to remain attractive to tourists.

Next stop: the New Orleans Jazz Festival

After the residency ends, Eagles have been announced as headliners of the New Orleans Jazz Festival, which will take place from April 23 to May 3, 2026. The Eagles’ performance is scheduled for Saturday, May 2.

The band’s further plans after the festival have not yet been announced. Against this backdrop, the extension looks less like a mere formality and more like another sign that the schedule may change as the season unfolds.

Sphere’s 2026 calendar without Eagles

While Eagles wrap up the residency’s final dates, the venue is keeping a packed schedule, combining concert runs and film screenings in its signature format:

  • “The Wizard of Oz”, open-ended run, screenings of the культ film in the Sphere format
  • Illenium, from March 5 to 7, from March 12 to 14, and from April 2 to 4, shows in support of the album “Odyssey”
  • Phish, from April 16 to May 2, a concert run with a changing setlist
  • No Doubt, from May 6 to June 13, the band’s return with a hits program
  • Kenny Chesney, from June 19 to July 11, a residency featuring the main songs for No Shoes Nation fans
  • Carín León, from September 4 to 6 and from September 11 to 13, concerts for Mexican Independence Day weekend

This lineup underscores that Sphere is developing a model where residencies become an alternative to traditional tours—anchored at a single venue with maximum attention to production.
