DJ Chico Correa’s 2014 Mix
23 May, 2014Chico Correa is at the heart of the electronic music scene in North-Eastern Brazil. His productions and remixes push local rhythms (coco, ciranda, baião) seamlessly into the world of tropical bass. Hailing from João Pessoa, the capital of Paraíba state (just north of Pernambuco), Chico will be touring Europe in the summer and has put this mixtape together to showcase his work, a mesmeric trip through the North-East of Brazil. The mixtape features collaborations with folkloric names like Samba de Véio da Ilha do Massangano, Dona Odete and Coco do Tebei, as well as new singers Totonha, Larissa and others.
