Meridian Brothers Release First Taster of New Organ-Inspired Opus

By 09 September, 2015

Colombia’s experimental tropicalistas Meridian Brothers are back with a new track, “Vertigo”. With a shuffling rhythm and bursts of keyboards the track resembles the works of electronic music mavericks Raymond Scott and Bruce Haack, with just the groove hinting at its Colombian origins.

The track will feature on the group’s upcoming 8-track album Los Suicidas, which we are told is inspired by Colombia’s Hammond organ virtuoso Jaime Llano Gonzalez and will feature Colombian rhythms such as pasillos, bambucos and cumbias, alongside foxtrots and waltzes.

Los Suicidas will be released by Soundway Records on 27th Nov 2015.
