PREMIÈRE: New Music by Uruguayan Downtempo Producer Xanducero on Fértil Discos

By 26 March, 2021

César Corujo is a Uruguayan percussionist who goes back and forth across both sides of the La Plata river. Under his musical moniker Xanducero he combines the rhythms and instruments of the folk and African roots styles of Uruguay and Argentina, with a contemporary electronic production inspired by downtempo, ambient and house music.

His second release on Fértil Discos is Raíz, an EP exploring percussive traditions focused on rhythms like candombe and chacarera, with deep ambiances and delicate electronic textures building over an ever-pulsating bombo legüero beat.

Raiz is available now on Fertil Discos’ Bandcamp
