Looking for Contributors
31 January, 2022Would you like to join the Sounds and Colours team? We’re currently on the lookout for new contributors, people who are passionate about Latin American culture and want to share their passion.
Sounds and Colours launched in 2010 and has since become one of the UK’s most significant online portals for Latin American culture, albeit one with a global readership. Our aim is to share, dissect and discuss Latin American culture in all its forms, with particular attention paid to music, film and literature.
Are you a student or post-grad focused on Latin America? Are you based in Latin America with particular interest in music, film or literature? Are you a photographer, writer, film-maker, researcher, podcaster or other artist looking for an outlet? Are you simply looking to retain a connection with the Latin America you love? Whatever the reason, we would love for you to join the team.
If you are interested please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “New contributor” and tell us a little bit about yourself and your interest in Latin America.
Please note, this is an unpaid position, but offers an opportunity to gain valuable writing experience, with our editorial team providing regular feedback on your contributions. In addition, you will have the opportunity to interview important artists, writers and film-makers, and gain access to music, books and films before they are made public, as well as becoming a part of our ever-expanding team. Our writers, editors and translators have gone on to work with The Guardian, BBC, The Economist, Jacobin, NPR, and many other magazines, websites, radio stations and journals.
