By 25 April, 2024

The entertainment industry in the United States has always made space for Latin American content because more and more people are appreciating the rich culture and the talent of Latin American artists in the industry. If you were to take a trip down memory lane, given that you’ve been a fan of Latin American content for so long, you might remember that there was once a time when it was so difficult to watch this type of content. But thanks to the constantly evolving streaming services, they made a smart move to invest in Latin American movies and TV series.

Since we’re already in the second quarter of 2024, we wanted to share the best streaming platforms where you can watch Latin American movies and TV series to your heart’s desire. Most of these streaming services will require you to have fast internet for you to really enjoy and appreciate your favorite content.

Netflix

Over the past years, Netflix has been investing a lot in Latin American content. After all, they’re home to some of the biggest Spanish movies and TV shows like Money Heist, Narcos, and Elite. But beyond the titles that’ve been recognized worldwide, Netflix has a lot of content from different Latin American countries like El Reino (The Kingdom) from Argentina and 3% from Brazil. If you want to have a diverse content lineup, Netflix is the right option for you.

Go Latino TV

Go Latino TV is DISH Network’s dedicated TV service focused entirely on Latin American content. While it doesn’t boast the same library size as Netflix, Go Latino TV offers a long list of channels that offer telenovelas, comedies, dramas, and documentaries specifically chosen to appeal to US Hispanic households. Some channels you can enjoy from this platform include Galavision, Cinelatino, Fox Deportes, beIN Sport, and many more.

Hulu

Hulu is another streaming platform that can’t be ignored when it comes to Latin American movies and TV series. While its library isn’t as big as Netflix, it still offers a lot of content that makes your subscription really worth it. Plus, it’s more affordable than Netflix if you’re on a tight budget but still looking for a variety of content including Latin American films and shows.

fuboTV

fuboTV is a popular sports TV platform in the United States. However, it also offers a Latino service that offers over 60 Spanish channels ranging from sports and news to entertainment and telenovelas. fuboTV’s Latino plan costs $32.99 per month and that includes 250 cloud DVR, 2 simultaneous streaming (standard share), and premium sports channels like La Liga, Liga MX, UEFA Champions, and so much more. If you’re a sports fan, then having a fuboTV subscription might just be what you need.

Amazon Prime

If you’re already accustomed to the Amazon ecosystem, then what’s stopping you from taking advantage of Amazon Prime Video? Amazon’s streaming platform might not have the same volume of content like Hulu and Netflix but it has a lot of decent Latin America movies and TV series. Some are free but some can be rented or bought. Either way, it’s a great streaming platform that gives you more flexibility on what you want to pay for since you don’t have to pay for a subscription fee if you’re already an Amazon Prime member.

Wrapping Up

It’s great to see a lot of on-demand and live TV streaming platforms opening their doors for Latin American content and embracing the diversity of the audiences in the United States. After all, the USA isn’t called the melting pot for nothing – it’s a place where cultures from around the world come together to create a new, beautiful society. So, the next time you’re wondering where to watch your favorite Latin American movie or TV show, look into these platforms. You can’t go wrong with them. Happy streaming!
