How to Set Up a Successful Marketing Strategy for Latin American Businesses

By 12 April, 2021

In 2021, the face of marketing changed from traditional marketing, which is no longer as popular as it once was, to social media marketing, which is now the most effective form of marketing due to its global reach. With social media becoming so popular in Latin America, and with nearly 50% of internet users in Latin America stating they get joy from using social media and webinar platforms, it’s time for a different approach to marketing, especially for all the small and new businesses emerging every day.

It is essential to have a social media profile, but more than that, you have to have a social media marketing strategy, and with social media usage being fairly new, at least at the rate it is now, this the time for your business to shine. If you are new to this, then here are a few tips to help you create one.

Define your audience

You should first define who your audience is and find out what the demographics are. You need to establish who is going to be using your product and why this is important. Different social media platforms have different audiences, so you have to know who your audience is in order to choose a platform that will suit it best, as this determine which growth services you use; for example, there is Twesocial for Twitter, which will help to organically increase your followers. Once you know who your audience then you can find a way to design content for them.

Best way to reach the audience

You have to use the appropriate social media platform to reach your audience. This is important because there is no point in you promoting a product on Facebook if the demographic doesn’t align with the audience you are trying to sell to. There are brief differences between each social media platform, such as Twitter using short text content, Instagram using videos, and Tiktok using short videos. You have to choose the one that aligns with your audience, as TikTok and Instagram has a younger audience whereas Facebook and Twitter have an older audience. If you’re trying to target Latin American’s specifically, then Facebook might work best for you as its the most used social media platform in Latin America.

Have goals and objectives

You have to have goals and objectives for your businesses and align them with your strategy. It’s important to have goals and objectives, as its a a constant reminder of where you are going and it pushes you to achiever more for you and your business. You should have different goals, from engagement goals ot a goal of how many followers you want your platform to have and then work your way towards achieving them, using your analytics as a guide.

Use influencers

You can and should use influencers to boost your social media platform. Influencers accounts that have an engaged following of over ten thousand follower and a buying power over most of their followers. One post from them, creates tons of traction to your account and this benefits your business as it brings customers straight to your door. Make sure to choose the right influencer that will work for your company, and this will also help to see if it’s good for followers. They have to align with your brand and have enough reach to incfluence the public. The market might not have many influencers in Latin America, but there a fw here and there that can work for your business, you’ll just have to search for them. There are also international influencers that you can also choose, which will spread your products to a globabl audience.

If you are a Latin American business, looking for ways to increase traction to your company, it’s important to have a successful marketing strategy. You need to use social media to your advantage especially now that it’s becoming more popular in Latin America and the rest of the world. Make sure to first define your audience and understand who you are trying to reach. Don’t use the social media platform that’s the most popular, use the one which is the most beneficial for your audience. After you’ve defined your audience, you can find the best way to reach them, set up goals and objectives for your platform and use influencers to increase your reach.
