30 August, 2019It’s no longer a secret that the trap scene is growing rapidly across Latin America, with Chile’s urban music scene in particular having an explosive rate of new music right now. This fact has not been free of controversy, with the old guard rap fans not entirely happy with this new style taking over. That said, trap is slowly gaining recognition on the street.
This #FridayMixtape is put together by Pato Dus, a long time DJ and rapper and former member of FDA, a band known for having among its line-up two iconic lyricists, Gen and Como Asesinar A Felipes’ Koala Contreras.
On this mix you can check out some of the more underground faces of trap, going beyond names like Pablo Chill-E or Young Cister, to explore the underground urban scene.
