Watch The Video For ‘Ascender’ By Chilean Electronic Soul Band Sin Órbita
30 January, 2018In case you haven’t heard of Sin Órbita, led by singer songwriter Paula Reyes, they released one of the most interesting electronic pop albums of 2016 in Chile. With trip hop, future r&b and ambient inspirations, it drew the attention of some of the most curious members of the Chilean alternative music press. Two years have passed and now we receive the video for the single “Ascender”, giving extra sparkle to an already shiny hidden gem from the Santiago underground.
The video, directed by Arturo Jara Silva, sees Paula wandering around in the night, in an almost inhabited city. Artificial light, concrete and cars are the company to her apparently fragile human presence, a visual representation of the juxtaposition of the delicate vocals and instrumentation to the strong and uptempo beat of the track, which is one of the most club-oriented songs on Principio Y Final.
