Latest Festival Nomade Mixtape Brings Us Deep Downtempo Flavours From P.r.Λ.Λ.H

By 20 May, 2016

Festival Nomade have become something of masters of producing classy electronic mixtapes. Before, during and since their majestic festival in the wilderness, that happened in Chile at the start of this year, they’ve been putting out quality mixes highlighting the new South American fondness for downtempo beats with snatches of percussion, field recordings and vocal samples.

Their latest release is from P.r.Λ.Λ.H, an artist that we have to admit knowing next to nothing about. Well, apart from the fact that this is a sumptuous mixtape, marrying laidback beats with vibrant percussion and Afro-Latin vocals like those of Petrona Martinez, who features heavily here. Interspersed with Andean instrumentation and the sound of streams and rivers, it makes for a truly immersive experience, one to get yourself lost in for a good hour.

You can listen to P.r.Λ.Λ.H’s Festival Nomade mixtape below. Also check out Festival Nomade’s Soundcloud for great mixes by the likes of Sidirum, Inti Che, Chancha Via Circuito, Spaniol, Nicola Cruz and Barrio Lindo.
