CON ALMA 34: Ignacio La Conga
30 August, 2021Rooi (Martín D’Alessandro) , Fffffff (Facundo Fernández Alberdi) y Medix Cielx (Sky Parnes) are three producers, DJs and musicians from Argentina, who produce music under the alias of Ignacio La Conga: a project focusing on research and fusion of traditional rhythms from South America and beyond. On the back of releasing new single “Las Plumas” last Friday, the trio have provided an especially spirited Con Alma, featuring some as yet unheard originals.
“For this mix each of us has chosen 10 songs that feel representative of what we are: showing some of the many influences that shapes us, building a synergy of soundscapes and sparkling club music over risky music fades.”

The Con Alma series is a mug of hot coffee served fortnightly on Monday mornings, to start your week off right. An hour of musical soul food, downtempo undulations and freshly-squeezed groovers that’s good for the heart, mind and body. Although the series’ name is taken from Dizzy Gillespie’s Latin standard, don’t expect an hour of frenetic bebop – this is gentle introspection, warm sunrises, shower sing-a-longs… always with plenty of soul.
