EXCLUSIVE: Chancha Via Circuito feat. Lido Pimienta “Jardines”
17 September, 2014Amansara, the latest album from Argentina’s Chancha Via Circuito, has already shot into our Best Albums of 2014 list and it feels as if the forward-thinking producer could soon be in our Top Videos list too.
“Jardines” is one of the highlights of the album, a haunting slice of digital cumbia with hints of tropical bass, dubstep and Andean trance. Colombia’s always-great Lido Pimienta provides the perfect vocals, inhabiting every beat and digital signal with her distinctive offbeat delivery, while the director Gustavo Cerquera Benjumea brings the track to life with an array of drawings and animations that bridge the gap between the natural world and digital design in the most surreal of ways.
Amansara is released in Europe on 29th September via Crammed Discs and in the USA on 23rd September via Wonderwheel Recordings.
