Toronto MCs Magnolius Dedicate New Song to Brazilian Artist Jorge Selarón
24 April, 2012It’s not everyday we feature Toronto MCs on the site, but we figured there was at least two reasons why this video deserved a mention. First off is the fact that the Canadaian hip-hop duo Magnolius were so enthralled by seeing the Escadaria Selarón in the Lapa neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro that they decided to write a song about the artist responsible, Jorge Selarón. The second is that this is a really nice video, made by Portuguese graphic designer, Nuno Barbosa, who was also clearly influenced by Selaron in it’s making. If you watch ’til the end, you also get the added bonus of Selaron himself saying a few words of thanks.
