PREMIÈRE: The Whole Body Moves on ‘Manos’, Latest Video from Colombia’s Mente Orgánica

By 16 January, 2020

As folklore began to take a greater part of the South American landscape in electronic, fresh independent labels surfaced along the continent to facilitate the trend. Fértil Discos, from Buenos Aires, is one example. Run by El Remolón, it has become a hub for well known Argentineans like Barda and Jin Yerei, but has also hosted music by neighbours like Chile’s Derrok and the debut album from Colombia’s Mente Orgánica.

At a young age, Bogotano artist Jacobo Polania released his first track as Mente Orgánica on a Fértil Discos compilation in 2017. That song was “Manos”, which was also included on his first full length album on the label, Ojos, in 2018. Now the visual experience for the track, full of body movements and contortions, comes to close this first stage of his project and heralds the arrival of his second LP via Fertil Discos, due in the the first half of 2020.
