Meet ‘SoL – Sonidos Latinos’, A New Alliance Giving Latin American Music International Exposure
14 March, 2016Sounds and Colours are extremely happy to be one of the media partners for SoL – Sonidos Latinos, a great new initiative which aims to help the profile of Latin American music on an international level.
SoL – Sonidos Latinos will bring together musicians, record labels, music industry professionals and cultural and governmental institutions from Latin America, and through its participation at international festivals and events it will give these companies and people a chance to share their music and ideas to a global audience. Their aim is for a “Latin America united in order to generate, export and position creativity and trade in the music industry at a global level.”
Some of the services that SoL will be offering include stands at festivals and events, networking opportunities with commercial and professional contacts, opportunities for marketing and promotion, as well as artist showcases. As well as Sounds and Colours, other Media Partners for the initiative include Prensario, IndustriaMusical.es, Remezcla, Mundofonías and Zona de Obras.
SoL will officially present itself to the world at this year’s WOMEX – an event which is largely thought of as the most important event for the world music industry – and which will be taking place from October 19th until the 23rd in Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
