Helado Negro “Octubre 22”
09 July, 2012We just wanted to avert your attention to a pretty new video from Helado Negro, a Brooklyn resident with strong Ecuadorean roots who continually amazes us with his music. His latest work Island Universe Story One is a dense work which crosses many different styles. The album was made simply using a Scully 280 1/4″ tape machine, tape loops and edits created using Teenage Engineering OP-1 and presumably a microphone for those moments when Helado feels the need to vocalise. This is the video for “Octubre 22”, one of the instrumental tracks on the album. [We should also mention that Helado Negro features on our recent Sueños compilation]
