Lo-fi pop from Peru’s Chico Unicornio
24 April, 2011A couple of tracks from Lima’s Chico Unicornio recently found their way to the Internet. These two songs both sit firmly within the world of lo-fi pop, featuring either the charango or acoustic guitar as the main instrument, alongside whistling, background noises, rough percussion and odd snatches of other instruments. “Luxor” also has a little of the El Guincho about it, thanks to its percussive drive.
