Amon Tobin Set For Rare London Performance

By 21 April, 2016

For the first time in three years, the celebrated Brazilian-born producer Amon Tobin is returning to London for an exclusive DJ set at Electric Brixton on 2 June.

With a back catalogue spanning seven critically acclaimed full-length albums, Tobin is one of the most respected artists on the electronic music scene, constantly innovating and honing his own unique sound over the course of a fifteen-year-long career.

On his latest full-length record ISAM, an acronym for ‘Invented Sound Applied to Music’, he synthesised field recordings as a means of creating unique electronic soundscapes. He followed that up with Dark Jovian, a Record Store Day exclusive EP that was a self-proclaimed experiment in atmosphere, seeking to “interpret a sense of scale, like moving towards impossibly giant objects until they occupy your entire field of vision, planets turning, or even how it can feel just looking up at night”.

Tickets for this rare London performance are now on general sale for £19.50, and the doors will open at 7pm on the night.
