Kafundó Records Release 2nd Volume of Digital Roots Music from Brazil

By 17 March, 2015

Today, Kafundó Records released the second volume of their series of compilations focused on new electronic music from Brazil. Titled Kafundó Vol. 2 and with a sub-heading of “Roots and Bass Music from Brazil”, this one continues where Volume 1 left off, with a fine selection of Brazil’s most innovative and bass-shattering producers and forward-thinking artists.

Collated by Maga Bo and SoundGoods (Wolfram Lange), Kafundó Vol. 2 features heavy hip-hop beats and rhymes from Lurdez da Luz, Comrade and Gaspar Z’África, digital roots rhythms from the well-respected Chico Correa and DJ Dolores, as well as music from newer names like ÀTTØØXXÁ and Os Nelsons (who featured on our Sounds and Colours Brazil compilation). With artists from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Natal, Brasília, Salvador and Recife it’s a compilation that shows the complete picture of what’s truly happening in electronic dance music in Brazil.

Kafundó Vol. 2: Roots and Bass Music from Brazil is released by Kafundó Records and Dutty Artz and is available from kafundrecords.bandcamp.com
