KOMBI – ALIMENTO A DOR EURO TOUR 2025

By 31 October, 2025

After releasing Alimento a Dor on vinyl earlier this year, which received a rave review here in the pages of ‘On the Margins’, KOMBI — the solo project of João Kombi (from the Brazilian experimental grindcore duo Test) — sets off on his first European tour this November.

A key figure in the São Paulo underground, KOMBI explores the intersection between noise, drone and rhythm, creating dense and emotional soundscapes built from layers of distorted guitar, loops, and raw improvisation. The project mirrors the same spirit of intensity and freedom that marks João’s work with Test, though with a more introspective and textural form.

The “Alimento a Dor Eurotour 2025” will pass through nine countries over three weeks, with one workshop focused on DIY touring and underground practice — reflecting nearly three decades of João’s experience in independent music, with more than 1,000 shows and 21 international tours, all self-organized without label or management. Unfortunately, there’s no show in the UK, so someone should call Cafe Oto quickly.
