PREMIÈRE: Captain Planet feat. Samira Winter & Nevilton “Tudo de Bom”

By 16 September, 2014

Brooklyn, N.Y., and Los Angeles, Calif., -based super producer Captain Planet has enlisted Brazilian artists, Samira Winter and Nevilton, for help on a new Samba heater: “Tudo de Bom.”

This is the latest single off of Captain Planet’s (real name Charlie B. Wilder) forthcoming sophomore album, Esperanto Slang (Oct. 7 via Bastard Jazz). We’re looking forward to the new LP as the tracks he has already released are breaking boundaries between genres and bridging continents through rhythm.

The premiere Latin-House single “Un Poquito Mas” features Spanish lyrics from fellow international beats don, Chico Mann (Soundway), and we get reggae vibes on the album’s 7-inch single, “In The Gray,” with the help of soul singer, Brit Laurén, backed by horns from supergroup, The Lions (Ubiquity).

The border-crossing collaborations on Esperanto Slang blend a wide range of styles, from NY hip-hop, UK bass and Turkish psychedelic, to Nigerian afrobeat and Amazonian funk. There’s also a collaboration with Argentinian electronic chanteuse, La Yegros, to look out for.
