PREMIÈRE: Luïza Luz Strives for Social Empowerment on New Track from Fertil Discos’ Compilation of Female and Trans Producers

By 29 June, 2020

As a way of leveling the field and a long time debt on gender equality in electronic music, Fértil Discos has announced Sílice, the first compilation with only cis and transgender women, and non binary producers. All the music is carefully selected by Barda, with 13 of the producers coming from Latin America, and some international guests. Tracks by Bienvenidos A La Computadora (Argentina), Carla Valenti (Chile) and Naoba (Nicaragua) have already been released.

Next up is Luïza Luz, a trans-disciplinary artist, educator and ecological activist from Brazil, who experiments with the organic and digital to create a manifesto of social empowerment over the system. Some of these thoughts are narrated in the lyrics to the song “Everything Else Has Failed”, which you can view exclusively below.

SÍLICE will be released by Fertil Discos on 3 July
