Rock In Rio (Day One)

There is something about Rock In Rio that just seems quite exciting. Maybe it’s the history because this year’s edition did not look that great on paper, or at least none of the headliners did, yet we still found ourselves getting a little excited about it. Now, unfortunately none of our team managed to get over to Rio for this one but we have got some pretty good photos and video from the event of some of our favourite performers.

So, this is a bit of a round-up of day one. We’re gonna skirt right over Elton John, Rihanna and all those over numpties on the main stage and get right into some interesting performances. One of the early shows on that stage was Paralamas do Sucesso with Titãs, which included a cameo from Milton Nascimento:

But there was plenty more happening on the Palco Sunset, including Móveis Coloniais de Acaju with Letieres Leite, Orkestra Rumpilezz and Mariana Aydar:

Brazilian soul icon Ed Motta performed with Rui Veloso and Andreas Kisser:

And Bebel Gilberto teamed up with Sandra de Sá:
