Camila Moreno Releases New Song ‘El Origen del Arcoiris’ Off Latest Record ‘Pangea Vol. 2’

By 10 July, 2018

At the end of May, Camila Moreno took an indefinite hiatus from performing live, marking the occasion with a huge farewell concert in Santiago´s Teatro Caupolicán. Rather than dedicating time to touring, she will pursue different artistic avenues to complete her expansive multi-disciplinary Pangea project.

The Chilean folk-rock singer has always participated in the audio visual elements of her creative work, from documentaries to directing some of her own fantastical music videos. A part of Pangea is a short fiction film focused on the spirit of the indigenous world, as inspired by the native communities of her homeland. Other Pangea installments include a comic and book to be published in 2018 and 2019.

A double disc Pangea Vol. 1 & 2 will also be released later this year, the prior a live recording from 2017, while the second volume will feature a collection of unreleased material, new songs, and tracks that never made the cut on her previous albums. Last week Moreno put out a new recording from Pangea Vol 2., “El Origen Del Arcoíris”, which you can watch/listen to at the top of the page.

Pangea comes at the end of a ten-year career in music for Moreno, and upon its completion she intends to work on a new album with all new material.
