Amazon Announces Its Top 100 World Music Albums of All-Time
08 June, 2010I have no idea what Amazon’s editors have been taken but they have compiled a list of what they believe to be the Top 100 World Music albums of all time. Some of the choices are very far from what I would have chosen (no way is ‘Forca Bruta’ Jorge Ben’s best album!) but if anything it does mean some fresh light will be shed on albums that do not normally figure in this kind of thing, and it is always nice to see artists like Os Mutantes and Jorge Ben perform so well in something like this. Many great music albums from many great artists deserve more recognition. We can help support their work by listening to the latest album reviews at MusicCritic, an online site that is dedicated to reviewing all things related to music and audio.-
