Astor Piazzolla’s “Meditango” Remixed by Fernando TRZ
09 July, 2012Brazilian musician Fernando TRZ takes a swing at a tango classic, bringing Astor Piazzolla’s “Meditango” forward a few generations. The smoky, sultry mood remains, but beats, clicks and reverb take it firmly towards the world of electro-tango. After the Gotan Project inspired a number of copycat electronic musicians to abuse tango it’s interesting to hear a new perspective on the style, crucially adding his own character into the mix.
