EXCLUSIVE: K Sabroso’s Paisa Style Mix

On this new mix from K. Sabroso, the Indianapolis DJ and producer shows once more his credentials in mixing new and old Latin sounds. In particular our ears perked up at the sound of new Colombian electro/champeta groups Palenke Soultribe and Systema Solar alongside salsa greats Willie Colon, Hector Lavoe and Celia Cruz. He’s not been on the scene for a long time, but K. Sabroso is certainly making an impact. Just check out his Taste Test EP or remix of Papi Brandao y Sus Ejectivos’s “Bilongo” for further evidence.

This new 30-minute mix is primed for summertime with a title that refers to both old school Mexicans living in the States and also the name for someone from Medellín (i.e. a paisa), a title that seems apt considering the link this mix makes between Latin music from both North and South America.
