Sounds and Colours To Host Afternoon of Discussion and Film as Part of Movimientos 10 Weekender

By 21 October, 2015

We are delighted to be a part of the upcoming Movimientos 10 weekender in London, a 2-day event celebrating the 10th birthday of Latin events organiser and cultural beacon Movimientos.

The event will be taking place over Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th November at Rich Mix in London, and features a killer line-up of live music, talks, discussions and DJs, all shot through with an irresistible counter-cultural Latin flavour. Things will kick off from midday on Saturday with films and discussion from Alborada, followed by a night flowing with Latin psych, beats and Afro rhythms until the wee hours (check out the line-up below).

On Sunday we will be presenting a free afternoon of films and debates (from 2pm until 5pm) with two UK premières in the shape of Ritmos Negros del Peru and Sabroso! A Road Trip to Colombia’s Caribbean Coast, a preview of the interactive Quipu Project documentary, and discussions with Natalia Sobrevilla Perea (University of Kent / Peru Support Group) about the culture, social issues and history of Latin America’s marginalized populations. Our afternoon will be followed by an evening of great music with Peru’s very own Novalima and the flawless DJ iZem both on duty for the night’s entertainment.
