PREMIÈRE: B. Gold & H. Diaz – Um Silêncio Hipnótico de Pássaro Mudo (Album Stream)

By 06 October, 2015

Um Silêncio Hipnótico de Pássaro Mudo is the hypnotic new release from B. Gold & H. Diaz, a duo best known for their work in Baoba Stereo Club. Their new release, an almost 30 minute long soundscape whose title translates as “An hypnotic silence from a mute bird”, is a beguiling work featuring fluctuating piano lines bathed in percussion and layers of sounds.

The two men behind the piece are Bruno Gold and Henrique Diaz. As well as playing in Baoba Stereo Club, Bruno works with the Invisibilidade Collective and Henrique performs solo as COALHADO and in a duo with Maurício Takara called TOTI. Um Silêncio Hipnótico de Pássaro Mudo was recorded live at Sala St. Hilaire by Bruno, and mixed and mastered by Henrique. The artwork was created by Bolivar, and it’s available for download now at Proposito Records.

Listen to Um Silêncio Hipnótico de Pássaro Mudo, as well as read the short essay that accompanies the release (here translated into English), below:

“Photos of winter. Rain. Wasted landscapes. Thunder and horns. The echo of crickets. A whisper. The chaos that runs through acute beauty, a crash in the wall, the detained thought, everything that adds to the image is now.

An hypnotic silence from a mute bird. A moment of darkness. The silver brightness of a lighter made of ashes. Bronze bells, infinity.

It rains, the city expresses itself through the landscape.”
