To Have & To Hold: A Film About Vinyl Records

By | 10 June, 2010

A great new trailer has just emerged for a forthcoming documentary on vinyl records. The documentary, featuring many famous faces including Chuck D (Public Enemy) and Questlove (The Roots), may not exactly be South American flavoured but it does talk about one of the most vital forms of listening to music, in my opinion. Without people collecting records we would have far less great Latin music emerging from the vaults, a lot of it would simply be lost forever. For that, we have to praise the vinyl record, maybe starting by watching this pretty nifty trailer.

To Have & To Hold – Taster Tape from Jony Lyle on Vimeo.

Not sure when this 90-minute documentary, directed by John Lyle, will be released, but I would recommend keeping an eye out.
