Happy Jazz Radio — Peru and Chile Mix

By 10 September, 2010

We have a delightful set of Peruvian and Chilean jazz for you this Friday from Happy Jazz Radio. There’s some real choice cuts here, many of which are as rare as antelope wings, which is why we have no tracklisting. What we have instead is a jazz odyssey, an adventure into a place where funk, soul, jazz, cumbia, salsa and folk music meet, where we can go on a little exploration to areas of Peru and Chile we never knew existed. I was going to write that this is the perfect Sunday morning record then realised I’m listening to it on a Friday night before going out and it couldn’t be better. This is simply great music and we’re very happy to have these Happy Jazz fellas making such a quality contribution to the site. They have plenty more mixes where this came from too, so expect an Argentinian one in the very near future.

The last time we featured one of Happy Jazz Radio’s mixes on the site we also asked them a few questions. You can read the interview HERE. During that time they also told us where we would be able to find them either DJing around the globe or mixing things up on the Internet.

You can get your regular fix of Happy Jazz Radio from Adrian and Mark  via the Happy Jazz Radio Show that goes out once a month via www.radiopellenera.com, www.radio42.com, www.danceandsoul.com and at www.mondomedusah.com.
