Meridian Brothers Announce New Album ‘¿Dónde Estás María?’ and European Tour

By 21 June, 2017

Colombia’s finest art rock imaginators Meridian Brothers are back with a new album ¿Dónde Estás María? and European tour dates set for September and October this year.

The first taste of the new album is the title track which you can listen to via Spotify below. The song features the group’s typical staccato style of playing, letting each note become a question in itself, while band leader Eblis Alvaréz offers up a surreal paean to María. An interesting addition to the group’s sound is the addition of cello, offering up an excursion into something which could be deemed ordinary by their standards. However, perhaps this is deliberate. Although we know little of the album as yet, Alvaréz hints in the album teaser (which can be watched below) that the record will vacillate between the diabolic and the Catholic, and perhaps this is its representation in musical form.

¿Dónde Estás María? will be released on September 8th via Soundway Records. Pre-orders can be made at soundwayrecords.officialstore.co.uk
