First Songs from Quantic & Frente Cumbiero’s Ondatrópica Project

By 30 April, 2012

We were listening to a few new tracks on Soundcloud this morning when we saw in the corner of our eye a song called “Marimbula Acordeon Beatbox” at the bottom of our Dashboard. Clicking ‘Play’ revealed a beautifully-texture tropical dub number featuring the human beatbox that was suggested by the song’s title. We soon realised that this was one of the first tracks to be made public from Quantic and Frente Cumbiero’s Ondatrópica project, which we featured here on S&C, and that there was another song also available for our listening please, that one being a straighter salsa number called “Bomba Tropica”. Ondatrópica will be heading over to the UK this summer for shows at the Hackney Empire as well as the Tower Bridge, as part of the BT River of Music Festival. Our expectations are now even higher!
